Hey There

I'm Rick Smiciklas, the son of a Croatian immigrant. Growing up, I was greatly influenced by my hardworking father, who was a strong and determined presence in my life. Despite facing many challenges and doubts from others, I began to internalize these negative voices. However, a turning point came on March 16th, 1999, when my beloved daughter was born. This moment transformed my life in ways I could never have imagined.

With just a hundred dollars in my pocket and the responsibility of providing for my daughter, I embarked on a journey to overcome the odds. My story of perseverance and determination began to take shape. It was a personal journey, and I hoped to make history in my own way.
